TENZAN found its start as a Yakiniku Barbecue Restaurant established by the Kaneko family in 1972 in Yokohama, Japan. We have been delivering authentic yakiniku cuisine to many customers since it’s establishment and we have been guarding the commitment to quality and taste of our family recipe…
Fast forward some 40 years, Hironori Kaneko came to Europe and was invited to a barbecue party and made our recipe in his kitchen and brought his share of barbecue dishes to the party. To his surprise and delight, he had a lot more compliments than he had expected and people were asking for more. He decided to bottle up our best tasting family recipe using only the finest and natural ingredients and market it to local stores to share our sauces with people outside Japan. While he is not making the sauces in his kitchen anymore, the one thing that has not changed is his love of quality ingredients and his passion for good food.
